Privacy policy
Worth the Commute is designed so the salary, pension, Student Loan, benefits and commute figures you enter into its calculators are processed in your browser rather than stored in an account.
Calculator inputs
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. We do not intentionally send the figures you enter into the calculators to advertising or analytics partners, and the site does not currently save those figures to a user account or calculator database.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard technical request information such as IP address, browser or device details, requested pages and timestamps for security, reliability, performance and abuse prevention.
Advertising and analytics
Worth the Commute is intended to be supported by advertising and may use third-party advertising, analytics and consent-management services. When those services are enabled, their providers may process information such as cookies or similar identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with adverts or the site.
Where required, you will be given appropriate consent choices before non-essential advertising or analytics technologies are used. Advertising may be personalised only where the applicable provider and consent settings permit it.
Advertising partners operate under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers for some of the information they process. We do not provide them with the salary or commute figures you type into the calculators as part of the calculator calculation.
Cookies and consent choices
Essential technologies may be used to deliver, secure and operate the site. Non-essential cookies or similar technologies used for advertising or analytics will be handled through the consent choices presented on the site where required. You can also use your browser controls to delete or block cookies.
External links and adverts
Pages may contain links to third-party websites and may display third-party adverts. If you follow a link or interact with an advertiser, that third party's own privacy policy and terms apply.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site, advertising providers or analytics tools change. The version shown here was last updated in October 2026.
